This was a set of barns on the coast in Llwyngwril looking over the sea. The owners bought the barns (which had always been a dream) in 2009. We started the work in February 2018, with the aim of completing by New Year 2019. Due to the nature of the work with old buildings, a number of unforeseen things cropped up which changed things and added a lot of work onto the project for us and the architects.
In February 2019, the barns were completed, a year after the work started.
Like most barn conversions, all parties involved knew of the importance it was to keep the character and history of the original agricultural buildings and make the most of the amazing views.
In 2020, we were nominated by the building control for the North Wales LABC building excellence
awards. We are very pleased to say that we won the category of best conversion/change of use in recognition for our high standards of construction and workmanship.
The barns are now a successful holiday let business –
Elk is the largest of them both with 3 bedrooms (sleeps 6)
Carreg is the smallest with 2 bedrooms (sleeps 4)
Both can be booked together or separately.
